Located in the rolling hills of southeastern Wisconsin, Racer Placers is an equine re-homing program dedicated primarily to the Standardbred race horse. Racer Placers provides these wonderful equines a place to relax, rest, and socialize before they are re-trained for a career after racing. Many of the horses go on to become pleasure driving horses, some become trail horses, and several have entered search and rescue organizations. Their steady temperament and pleasant dispositions make them ideal family horses. Racer Placers uses only humane natural horsemanship teaching methods to prepare these horses for a second career. Racer Placers is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, having acquired 501c3 status in 2008.
