Each year in New England, countless equines fall victim to abuse, neglect, owner surrender or are at risk for high kill auctions. NEER North is a unique rescue providing a safe-haven and rehabilitation facility for these animals. NEER North’s uniqueness is evidenced in its no-kill policy, feed and professional care assistance offered to owners unable to care for their equines due to financial hardship and facilitation of owner-to-owner adoptions that keep the animal out of the rescue system.
Rescue: equines in crisis, owner surrenders, abuse, neglect and horses at risk for high kill auctions
Rehabilitate: offer safe-haven, feed, provide medical care, win respect, trust and love.
Rehome: making matches and adopting into carefully vetted homes.
Reach out: aid local horse owners in crisis, provide feed and guidance.
Donations will be used to continue the care and support of all of our equines, make improvements to our facilities and help to expand our space to allow for more equines to come through our programs.
