Founded in 2002, MidAtlantic Horse Rescue, Inc., achieved status in 2011 as a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, and serves the state of Maryland and surrounding area. The organization provides rescue, rehabilitation, and permanent sanctuary for retired Thoroughbred racehorses, educates the public about the rescue of retired Thoroughbred racehorses and promotes adoption and responsible care for these animals.
