Strategic Planning: the Process, the Document, the “Now What”

Every non-profit organization, including animal sanctuaries and rescue centers, should have a plan. Under the GFAS accreditation standards, organizations are required to have a written strategic plan in order to be accredited. If you have never done a strategic plan before, it may be hard to know where to start. If you have a plan, it may be time to revisit it.

In this webinar, we talk about the strategic planning process: who should be involved, how to define your organization’s priorities and goals, and how to use your plan once it is completed. An effective strategic plan doesn’t have to be costly, long or complicated, and a well structured plan can be a great tool for communicating your mission and needs to potential donors and volunteers.
